LitEruption has arranged for an Internet World Wide Web Demonstration and Play area, with the cooperation of Portland State's Student Development Office.
Bob Phillips, a local poet, artist, and 'web-head' ;) ... Will show several different aspects of the web, including:
- Connection to a local internet access provider, teleport.com, where over 100 web users have put up their individual web pages.
- Web Tours: Portland's Sister City in Japan, Saporo; St Petersberg, Russia; the WELL Web Pages in San Francisco... The whole world of the web.
- Communication with outlying systems: Rexall Rose Cafe on Alberta Street in Portland has set up an access point in their coffee shop which will be accessable during LitEruption. Conant and Conant Bookseller's will have an internet workstation operating during LitEruption and communicating with the PSU site.
- Hypertext documents on Portland's Japanese Garden flora and culture.
